Finding treasure inside makes this game perfect for little ones that have a hard time staying focused.

If you want to play outside, you can rope off an area and hide the treasures in grass, behind trees, under rocks and even hanging from shrubs.

Object of game

To find as much hidden treasure as you can in the time allotted.

Number of players

4 or more

Equipment

A collection of small toys and treats
1 brown lunch bag per child
A timer

Set up

Hide the treats and toys around the party room.
Hide the items in plain sight by blending them into the surroundings. Red toys can be placed on a red couch, tiny bags of candy can be hidden behind pillows etc...

You want to hide the items hard enough that they are a challenge to find, but not so good that they are impossible to find.

How to play

Give each child a brown lunch bag.
Give them three minutes to find as many items as they can. When they find an item they should place it in their lunch bag and quickly move on.

Winning the game

Everyone wins with this game as they all should find some treasures.

Variations

After the time is up, you can have the children count the number of treasures they found and award a prize to the best treasure hunter.

You can set the game up with clues to lead the kids from one site to the next. Everyone in the group playing as one team. The final treasure can be a box filled with a goody bag filled with toys and treats for each child.
