Old Maid Game
Old Maid Game involves pairing off cards and discarding the pairs until only the Old Maid remains. 
ObjectTo avoid ending up with the queen card also known as the "Old Maid" card.Number of players2 or moreEquipmentOne standard 52-card deck of playing cards.Set upRemove the queens of hearts, diamonds and clubs from the deck. Leave the queen of spades in the deck, she becomes the old maid card. Shuffle the remaining cards together. Deal out all the cards,in a clockwise direction, one card at a time, face down.Players look at their cards and remove any pairs they can create that are of the same value and color, such as the seven of hearts and the seven of diamonds. One would not pair the seven of hearts with the seven of clubs. To play old maidThe player on the dealer's left draws a card from the player on his right. If he can pair this card with one from his hand, he removes the pair and places it face up on the table. If he can't pair the card he places it in his hand and play moves to the person on his left.Play continues in this manner with players removing pairs from their hands until finally all the cards are paired off except for the Old Maid. The player who ends up with the Old Maid loses. Winning the gameThere are no winners in this game. The person left holding the Queen (Old Maid) card, which can't be paired off is the loser.
