Halloween Bat Fishing
Preschool Halloween Game

Bat Fishing a fun game where everyone catches a prize. This game can be played indoors or outdoors.

Halloween batChildren can catch a bat and win a treat without the mess but with all the same excitement of real fishing.

An easy to set up game that will provide lots of fun for school parties, home Halloween parties or church gatherings.


Object of game

To earn treats by catching the bats marked with Halloween stickers

Number of players

2 or More

Equipment

Halloween sticker assortment
Child's fishing pole or bamboo pole
Magnet
Black construction paper
Wading pool or large cauldron
Paper clips
Bag of small treats, such as stickers, pencils, pieces of candy

Set up

Cut bat shapes from the black construction paper. Attach a paper clip to the center or wing tips of each bat.
Place stickers on several bats and place the bats into the cauldron.

Attach magnet to the end of the fishing pole.

How to play

Each child dips the fishing pole into the cauldron and tries to catch a bat. When the magnet attaches to a bat they pull it out of the cauldron and look at it. If the bat has a sticker on it, they can grab a treat from the treat bag.

Winning the game

Everyone should have a chance at winning a treat. If a child doesn't get a bat with a sticker, they can fish again after everyone has had a turn.

Variations

Place various Halloween icons into the cauldron, bats, cats, ghosts and pumpkins. Each type of the icons can be marked with stickers or numbers that represent a particular type of treat to award. Make the catching of a bat a special treat.
